Inspiration Vintage Wedding {Wedding photographer Auburn, Sumner, Bonney Lake}

What’s a Pacific Northwest photographer to do when you are stuck inside because of rain, snow and ice?? Get together with some of your creative friends and do an inspiration shoot, just for the fun of it! I asked my friend Shannon to be my model, my friend Jackie of Sweet Jackie’s Desserts and Julia of Julia’s Floral to put their heads together with me to work on this fun project.

They thought I was kind of crazy at first but slowly they got it! I told them to do whatever they wanted to do. I only wanted a vintage looking them with a particular color scheme, the rest was up to them! Here are the results:

This is a great idea for a DIY reception-borrow dish ware from your older relatives. This beautiful china belonged to Jackie’s mother-in-law.

Julia added a beautiful touch by selecting roses in vintage colors and using some of her own vintage glassware.

The theme was Vintage Travel so you will see little touches of travel accents all over the place. The little flags were made with pieces of map and vintage cloth.

This is our little reception room complete with a bicycle (remember, vintage travel) decked out with gorgeous flowers. Yes, that’s Julia again!

Julia got super creative and made the bridal bouquet from a small travel suitcase. The most amazing thing EVER!I thought I was going to die when I saw it!

Sometimes a photo shoot is just for the fun of it and this one if a good example of that idea. Hannah and Taylor had some fun doing this shoot together and playing with new props and backgrounds in the studio. I loved shooting these girls, they’re so funny and purdy!

Maison & Momma & Daddy {Family Portraits Tacoma WA}

I love it when the little ones bring their parents to the studio. Like Maison for example, she brought her momma Nicki and daddy scott! Maison is so clever. She was looking for some beautiful family portraits and some priceless holiday cards. Check these out!

The Cat’s Out of the Bag! {Pet Photography Tacoma WA}

I couldn’t share these photos before the holidays because some of my clients used these photos for their holiday cards! But, yes, Studio 57 was full of canine. Some were nice (Joey) and some were naughty (Chimi!) but all had a good time! Donations were donated to the local animal shelter!

The studio has been so busy lately that I haven’t taken the time to post some super fun sessions. Take this one for example! Little Miss June Bug and her momma Ashley and daddy Nick stopped by for some fun pics before the holidays. June was such an angel!

Now, don’t get me wrong, her parents are cuties too!

But, back to June bug, isn’t she adorable?!

And, I think she knows it!! Look at those little toes!

Sweet Sweet Summer {Senior Portrait Photographer Auburn Tacoma}

I have been terribly neglectful of my blog posts lately so I thought I would share some super gorgeous summer images with you. The beautiful lighting comes from the setting sun and the soft coloration comes from a Florabella Action, ‘Pandora’.

I just came across these photos that I took of my daughter and niece back in July. It was one of those beautiful summer evenings that we long for this time of year. How I miss it!

My niece Ellie is so beautiful and such a sweetheart! I just love her!

And my oldest daughter Hannah, so sweet – sometimes! But I love her anyway!!

This image makes my heart sing! The girls, the lighting, flare – aaaahhhh!

We decided to bring some balloons, just for the fun of it.

Aly is a senior this year and I was so excited to photograph her. I have know Aly and her parents and grandparents since before Aly was born. She has grown up to be such a beauty. She has a million dollar smile and a personality just as sweet! Enjoy a few selections from her shoot.

I had to include this photo because it made me laugh so hard when I remembered why Aly was laughing so hard. I promised not to tell!

Linda & Perry’s Engagement {Tacoma Photographer}

What could be better than taking pictures of two people in love?! That’s what I did on Saturday with Linda and Perry. They are so cute together and every time I hear their love story, it gives me goose bumps!

They waited a long time to find each other, but their love is as sweet as any could be!

We started their shoot at my studio in Tacoma before heading out to the beach.

See what I mean, how cute are they!!?

It’s time to hit the waterfront. Such a beautiful day and we had the water all to ourselves.
